The appropriation bill for 2022 was presented to the parliament on the 7th of October 2021
The draft bill shows a 1% decline in expenditure to LKR 3,607 Bn in comparison to the 2021 allocation but represents a 4% increase in comparison to 2020 allocation . The interest payment has reached an all-time high level in comparison to the previous years.
