He is a leading Sri Lankan economist with extensive experience in academia, public policy, and the private sector. Nishan holds degrees from Harvard University and Oxford University, where he was a Chevening Scholar.
Anushan Kapilan is a Lead Economist in the Economics Team at Verité Research. He is a founder of Publicfinance.lk. His work focuses on public finance, macroeconomics, long-run development, investment analysis and econometrics. He holds a Bachelor's in Economics and Finance from the London School of Economics, an MSc in Economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, and a CFA Program Level 1 certification.
Digini Tebuwanage is a Senior Programme Executive in the Economics Team at Verité Research. She holds a BSc in Economics and Finance from the University of London, specializing in macroeconomics, financial markets, and asset pricing. Previously, she served as a Team Lead for Business Operations and Assistant Business Manager, gaining experience in business strategy, operations, and financial management.
Navvid Mushin is the Programme Lead in the Economics Team at Verité Research. He drives the delivery of complex research projects and managed multiple programs. Navvid holds a BSc in International Relations from the University of London and a Master’s in International Relations from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China.
Raj Rajakulendran is a Lead Economist in the Economics Team at Verité Research, specializing in macroeconomic analysis, public finance, and debt sustainability. His research has been instrumental in shaping strategic recommendations for navigating Sri Lanka’s economic challenges. He played a key role in developing "Governance Linked Bonds," a first-of-its-kind financial instrument. Raj holds a BSc in Economics and Management from the University of London, graduating with first-class honours.
Harshana Wickramaarachchi is a Research Analyst in the Economics Team at Verité Research, specializing in macroeconomic analysis, sovereign debt and public debt management. He has over five years of experience in treasury operations and investment analysis. He pursued an MSc in Financial Economics from the Higher School of Economics, Moscow, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance from the University of London.
Chathuni Pabasara is a Research Analyst in the Economics Team at Verité Research. Her research interest and expertise within the public finance team spans areas of taxation policy, fiscal performance and policy, macroeconomics, and governance reforms. Chathuni has a Bachelor of Business and Commerce in Applied Economics from Monash University Malaysia and graduate student in Economics at the University of Colombo.
Emaad Rizwan is a Research Analyst in the Economics Team at Verité Research. His research interest and expertise span areas of public finance, macroeconomics, state-owned enterprise (SOE) reform, and governance-related policy reform. He holds a BSc in Economics and Management from the University of London. Prior to joining Verité Research, he contributed to the merchandising team at MAS Active and worked as a Research Associate at Frontier Research for over a year.
Shalomi Liyanage is a Junior Research Analyst in the Economics Team at Verité Research. Her research interests include macroeconomics, public finance, governance, international trade, and economic policies. She holds a first-class honours Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Additionally, she has professional certifications in International Relations from the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) and Human Resource Management from the Human Resources Management Institute (HRMI), where she received the award for the Best Results.
Sadini Galhena is a Junior Research Analyst in the Economics Team at Verité Research. Her research interests include behavioral economics, consumer behavior, socio-economics, and public finance. She also has experience in marketing management. Sadini holds a first-class honours Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and was awarded three gold medals for academic excellence.
Siyama Ansar is a Research Communications Executive in the Economics Team at Verité Research. She holds a BA (Hons) in Economics with First Class Honours from Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, earning five gold medals, including one for best academic performance. Her research interests include labor economics, econometrics, and public finance. She has published in the Sri Lanka Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities and contributed to The View e-magazine under the AHEAD project.
